Authorities have released the identity of an ATV rider who was killed in an accident earlier this month in Santa Barbara.
Edhat.com of Santa Barbara reported on their website that the California Highway Patrol had identified Nicholas Lee Bozenich, 36, of Santa Barbara as the sole victim in the weekend crash.
The fatal crash happened at approximately 10:025 p.m. on Friday, August 16th when Bozenich and a passenger were riding his ATV on private property located near Los Berros Road and Milton Street in a rural Arroyo Grande in San Luis Obispo.
Investigators have determined that the all-terrain vehicle left the eastern edge of the private driveway and slid down an embankment before crashing into a wooded area. The ATV struck two trees before coming to rest.
Authorities withheld the name of the deceased pending notification of family members.

The California Highway Patrol told reporters that Bozenich died at the scene of the crash. Bozenich’s passenger, Brian Bullough, 34, of Seal Beach, suffered major injuries. Bullough was transported by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. Bullough s current condition has not been released.
A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol (CHP told Edhat that the investigation is still ongoing. It is uncertain whether alcohol or any other form of impairment may have played a role in the fatal accident.
