Police are seeking the public’s help to find a hit-and-run driver that injured two eight-year-old girls. They have released a photo and video of the car they believe to be responsible for the crash. NBC Los Angeles has the full story.
According to the report, a black or maroon Chevrolet Cruze was going south on Compton Avenue and struck the children. The children were crossing the street just south of East 92nd Street just before 3:00 PM on May 9th.

A security camera caught images of the driver hitting the children and proceeding down the road at a high rate of speed. Paramedics reached the children and took them to the hospital in critical condition. Since the accident, one of the children explained they were on their way to a Mother’s Day family party when they were hit.
