The Jeep collided with a motorcycle and a white sedan. The impact of the crash caused the driver of the Jeep to be ejected from his vehicle, causing major injuries. The motorcyclist was also significantly injured after he was ejected from his bike after colliding with the Jeep. The driver of the sedan and some passengers in the vehicle were also reportedly injured. The driver and the passengers in the sedan are expected to recover.
An eyewitness and a Good Samaritan told CBS that the biker had suffered a significant injury to his leg. The motorcyclist was bleeding profusely before the Good Samaritan thought quickly and applied a tourniquet.
The CHP told reporters that the driver of the Jeep and the motorist were transported to an area hospital by ambulance for treatment of major injuries. Their identities and condition were not immediately reported. Both of the drivers are expected to recover.
Investigators believe that the unidentified driver of the Jeep was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was expected to be arrested following his release from the hospital.
