A Corona man was arrested over the weekend after he struck a motorcyclist and dragged the biker and his vehicle some 200 feet along the 91 Freeway.
CBS Local in Los Angeles reports that on Friday at approximately 7:00 p.m. Chain Arunritthirot was riding his motorcycle heading northbound on the 91 Freeway. He was going about 65 miles per hour when the driver of a minivan rear-ended him. The impact sent Arunritthirot flying about 200 feet before he landed in the middle of the freeway, wondering what had just happened.
A Good Samaritan Couple stopped and helped get Arunritthirot off the pavement and to safety. Meanwhile, another couple, also heading northbound on the 91 captured video of the speeding minivan with a riderless motorcycle latched onto its front bumper, sparks flying around the vehicle.
Arunritthirot was taken to a hospital for treatment of severe road rash and other injuries related to the crash.
Natalie Duran and Will Ross followed the minivan as it continued down the freeway. Ross described the scene to California Highway Patrol dispatchers as something that looked like it was out of a movie.
“It was shocking,” Ross told CBS,“ I’ve never seen anything like it before in my life.”

According to the CHP, the minivan had been going an estimated 70 miles per hour down the freeway when he struck the motorcyclist. The driver finally exited the freeway at McKinley Street, where the motorcycle finally fell off the front end of the minivan. The driver kept driving until he crashed his vehicle into a chain-link fence approximately a mile away. From there, the driver fled the scene on foot.
On Saturday, authorities caught up to 25-year-old George Valentin, who admitted to the CHP that he was the driver who struck Arunritthirot. He was placed under arrest on the charge of felony hit and run. Valentin is currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
