Teens sometimes do stupid and dangerous things like you’ll read about in this story, but this was a grown adult that caused this crash. A man from Tracey was arrested for allegedly throwing rocks from his vehicle at other drivers. Fox 40 reports.
The California Highway Patrol had been getting reports of rocks thrown from vehicles outside Tracey for several weeks. Two officers were going to get a statement about another thrown rock incident when their own vehicle was hit with one. This caused their SUV to crash. Both officers were injured.

The next day, an investigator went into the same area to follow up on the crash and his vehicle was hit with a rock. However, the investigator did not crash and was able to catch up to the person believed to be responsible. Inside of the suspect’s car, they found several more rocks on the passenger side. He was arrested and sent to San Joaquin County Jail.
After all the reports were calculated, he has been booked with eight counts of attempted murder, seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon upon a police officer.
A piece of gravel kicked up from the road is one thing, but throwing stones deliberately at other vehicle is another thing entirely. If the allegations are proved true, this man should have known better.
