A woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after she crashed her vehicle into a tree along Highway 132 on Tuesday.
The Union Democrat reported on its website that the crash occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12th. Kelsey Tishman, age 22, was driving a 1991 Dodge Dynasty and heading southbound along Highway 132, just west of Bonds Flat Road near the Don Pedro Reservoir, when her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
According to a statement issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Tishman was estimated to be traveling between 60 -65 miles per hour when the crash occurred.
Investigators have determined that Tishman was coming out of a left curve in the roadway when she drove onto the north side of the highway and hit dirt and gravel on the shoulder, causing the vehicle to go off the road and smash the driver’s side door into a tree. During the accident, Tishman’s car also cut a telecommunications wire that was attached to a utility pole.
